‘Choices’ is an intriguing work of art from start to finish. It chronicles the journey of a young honor student from small town America. Dana Roberts found herself faced with many grown up decisions when she chose to go off to college. Away from home and on her own for the first time in her life, Dana's upbringing and spiritual convictions were all she had to rely on in making many of the choices she was confronted with.
Running from the domestic abuse she had witnessed up close and personal, Dana surrounded herself with armor stronger than steel. Yet, she managed to remain sensitive, understanding and forgiving. Her insight and ability to cope with difficult situations portrayed wisdom well beyond her years, which definitely proved to be an asset to her credit along her journey.
The death of her roommate and best friend marked the beginning of a snowball that kept rolling over the years. Finding her Prince Charming, only to lose him, dealt her a heavy blow. Adding fuel to the fire, she discovered she was pregnant. Alone and vulnerable, what should she do? Abortion? Never entered her mind. Run home to mama? Too much pride and dignity. Put school on hold? No other choice.
Faced with numerous life-changing decisions at such an early age, Dana Roberts proves that the choices we make often dictate the kind of life we live. Be they good choices or bad choices, she learned that there's a way to get through them and life does go on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edward Myles is one of those young brothers you can't help but love. Men admired and respected him. Women adored him. Children looked up to him and fought for his attention. Heart as pure as gold but a force to be reckoned with.
Born into poverty and surrounded by adversities, Edward quickly learned the realities of life from his mother and mentors who refused to let him become another statistic. Rising above his modest beginnings, he set goals and standards for himself and achieved each one. Never forgetting where he came from, he reached back to give others that helping hand that was extended to him. Some would say he’s too good to be true. Not so. Why? Because his mother taught him how to humble himself and pray. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'Choices' is a must read for any young person embarking upon a journey such as Dana's or Edward’s. Leaving home for the first time, starting your educational journey, facing parenthood alone, (or not alone), having trouble finding yourself or setting solid goals, ‘Choices’ ‘is definitely an experience you will appreciate.
On the other hand, if you're looking for that old fashion romance that you often dream about and wish for, you’re in for a treat.
If you’re a die-hard fan of mystery, murder and mayhem, you’re still in the right place.
Or if you want a good laugh to lighten the atmosphere, we aim to please.
‘Choices’ has something everyone, so sit back and enjoy the journey.
